Report: Bledsoe to Knicks?

Reports are coming through that the Suns are looking to trade away Eric Bledsoe to the New York Knicks for the fourth pick in the upcoming NBA draft. The Knicks aren't in the best situation in regards to cap room, so trading away their first lottery pick since 2009 seems like the only option that they have. Phil Jackson recently stated that they are certainly "listening" to trade rumours in regards to the pick but gave no hints as to who the Knicks would take on.

The Knicks are in need of a decent point guard who can run the triangle offense that Phil Jackson insists on using. Bledsoe seems like a more aggressive version of Derek Fisher but isn't quite the shooter that Fisher was in his day. Bledsoe's ability to space the floor AND take the ball to the rim will give Carmelo Anthony much needed space to put up the shots he wants.

On the other side of the deal, the Suns' experiment running a three pronged attack with Bledsoe, Thomas and Dragic has come to an abrupt end. Goran Dragic's distrust with the organisation led to him being dealt to Miami on the trade deadline while Isiah Thomas took off to Boston where he became a 20 point scorer off the bench. Bledsoe seems like the last cab off the ranks as Phoenix rebuild their roster. The two headed beast of Bledsoe and Dragic worked wonders for the team but it was pushed too far when they picked up Thomas.

In related news, Miami are expected to offer Dragic a 5 year, $80m deal to extend his stay in South Beach a little while longer. Expect big things from Bledsoe as he tries to upstage his former point guard colleagues when they matchup this season.
