Redknapp joins Mariners as consultant

Former Portsmouth and Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has joined A-League cellar dwellars Central Coast Mariners as a coaching consultant.

The 69 year old currently acts as a consultant for fifth placed Champioonship side Derby County and has most recently been managing the Jordan national team.

Redknapp lead the team to a comprehensive 8-0 win over Bangladesh before falling to Australia 5-1 in early March.

The former West Ham manager maintains an impressive 40% win record and won the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2007 before the club ultimately went into administration.
