The Phoenix Suns today announced that they have resigned shooting guard Brandon Knight to a five year deal. Knight was traded to the Suns as part of the Michael Carter-Williams three team trade that saw MCW end up in Milwaukee and Knight in the much hotter climate of Phoenix.

The 23-year old played 11 games for the Suns last season and averaged 17 points on 42% shooting while also making 39% of this three point shots. Knight was a crucial player for the Bucks, leading the team in scoring and assists. His ability to both drive the ball and shoot outside made him one of the more entertaining players in the eastern conference, and at 23, there is plenty of space to grow in the Phoenix system. Knight missed a handful of games with the Suns due to injury and was a shell of the player that he was for the Bucks as he struggled to gel with Eric Bledsoe and the Suns roster. Knight is a strong prospect for the future, and while he may not provide too much on the defensive end, he is an offensive juggernaut with the potential to develop into a more consistent Klay Thompson.
The Suns also annouced today that they have signed Mirza Teletovic, who can provide plenty of outside scoring from the power forward spot, stretch the floor like only a few players can, and if needed, rebound the ball every now and then.
Look out for the Suns to try and claw their way into a playoff spot, battling all the way with the Dallas Mavericks for the 8th seed.
