Official: Filipe Luis back to Atletico

After wasting a year of his life at Chelsea FC, Filipe Luis is returning to Spain to rejoin Atletico Madrid, the team he had left alongside of Diego Costa and Thibaut Courtois. After being brought in for £15.8m, Luis only started 9 league games, scoring one goal in a Capitol One Cup game against Derby County.
Luis failed to break into the first team, following strong performances from Cesar Azpilicueta but made his debut in the 6-3 win away to Everton. He was a world class left back only a few years ago and that kind of form doesn't just disappear. He should easily resume the role of starting left back for the club, and while the transfer fee hasn't been disclosed just yet, you can imagine Atletico would have saved a bit of money.
