Warriors Blow Out Cavs in Finals Rematch

The Golden State Warriors have embarrassed the Cleveland Cavaliers on their home court with convinving 132-98 victory.

The 34 point victory marks the largest home loss in franchise history for the Cavaliers and also the biggest loss for a LeBron James lead team.

The Warriors were once again lead by Steph Curry who finished with 35 points, including 16 in the first quarter alone. The Cavaliers defence couldn't keep up with Curry who scored his seven baskets on only eight attempts.

It was another three point shooting exhibition for the Warriors who shot 48% from deep. After slow starts in their previous two games, the Dubs came out firing and ended the first half shooting 69% from the field.

Some poor defensive rotations from the Cavaliers allowed the Warriors to start the game with a 12-2 run, but the deficit was quickly run down by some hot shooting from J.R. Smith who scored 9 points and kept the game somewhat competitive.

The Warriors outscored the Cavs by at least 10 points in all four quarters and were able to play comfortably at the rim with Tristian Thompson and Timofey Mosgov missing substantial time due to acquiring four personal fouls early on.

What little scoring the Cavs had was soon lost with J.R Smith being ejected at the beginning of the second half with a flagrant 2 foul called on him for running through a Harrison Barnes screen.

Frustration set in for the Cavaliers who struggled to find their offence with LeBron James doing his best to facilitate his team mates but to no avail. He finished with 16 points but rested the entire fourth quarter with the Cleveland bench being sent out to endure the rest of the Warriors' torture.

After Curry said that he hoped the Cavaliers dressing room "still smelt of champagne", the Cavs were expected to come out and make a statement but clearly weren't up to the challenge.

The Warriors now sit at 38-4 while the Cavs still sit on top of the Eastern Conference with a 28-11 record.
