Transfer News: Juan Iturbe to AFC Bournemouth

Promising AS Roma youngster Juan Iturbe has joined Premier League side AFC Bournemouth on loan with the option of the permanent move at the end of the season.

The 22 year old winger started six games across all competitions for Roma this season while scoring only one goal.

Loan spells wtih both River Plate and Verona hinted at superstar potential but injury has prevented Iturbe from truly blossoming into a dangerous forward.

His blistering pace and trickery has always made him one to watch but the young South American is yet to make "the leap" from untapped potential to genuine threat.

The addition to Bournemouth will ease the blow of losing Calum Wilson earlier in the season, who suffered an ACL tear after scoring five goals from the opening six games.

While Bournemouth quickly found stability in the Premier League, they will ultimately be looking to secure safety as soon as possible.

Recent wins against both Manchester United and Chelsea will surely help the Cherries stay in the top flight of English football.
